Triathlon is a great sport for all ages. Getting started in the sport of triathlon is easy.

All you need is a bike, running shoes and pair of swimming goggles. There are heaps of races for beginners offering short distances which are easily achievable with a small amount of training for people who are fit and healthy.

As you become fitter and more experienced, training and competing regularly you may chose to become a member of Triathlon Qld and Triathlon Australia. This membership provides you with a 12 month Racing License and insurance cover while training. It will allow you to gain discounted entry to races which are sanctioned by Triathlon Queensland / Australia by not having to pay the event organizer for race day insurance. If you are a member of a Triathlon Club like the Redcliffe Triathlon Club you receive a discounted rate for Triathlon Queensland / Australia membership. You must apply and pay for your racing license online with Triathlon Australia online. Some races like Ironman Australia held in Port Macquarie require you to hold a racing license to enter the race.

The Redcliffe Triathlon Club is a fun and friendly club and is always looking for new members.
